The Rugby Rant started over a simple disagreement.

Rob “The Hammer” Hammerschmidt and Scott “The Big Guy” Ferrara were discussing the advantages and disadvantages of a specific international player playing in the MLR.

In the midst of their civil discourse about the player, while rugby was on Hiatus in 2020, Ty Braga came to them with the idea to start a new podcast about rugby in North America and The Rugby Rant Podcast was born.
