Pierce Lobban and Family

Pierce Lobban

Fun fact about living in the North State (the northern most area of Northern California), the closest MLR teams to me are Seattle (Washington), LA (Southern California) and then San Diego (Southern California) and Salt Lake City/Herriman (Utah) are equal distance from where I live. Hailing from Northern California, I have wrestled, ran cross country, competed in track and
field, and played rugby throughout the approximately 18,000 square miles of the northern half of the state at all levels from middle school, high school, college and men’s clubs. Starting in my senior year of high school I dabbled in 7s, 15s and even 10s, and in doing so I gained respect for each code. I tried my hand at coaching a few times only to realize that was a job best left to people who actually have people skills. I now enjoy watching rugby as much as I can, following the ever changing landscape that we call rugby, and trying to manage the chaotic household that having a toddler, an infant and wife creates.
