The Hammer in the Dog House

The Hammer

Rob Hammerschmidt has had his head in the rugby scrum Chicagoland for almost 30 years as a player, fan, and youth coach.   As he has come to grips with the realities of being an Old Boy, his love affair with rugby recently took an unexpected turn!  Four years ago, he became a creator and partner in the Rugby Rant Podcast.  While he has locked horns with the Big Guy about rugby matters a few times, they stay committed to engaging the rugby fan.  Most recently he became a sideline commentator for the Chicago Hounds and MLR.  In fact, when called upon he has been known to jump in the booth to provide a bit of color to the game. Rob remains steadfast to delivering excitement, insight, and energy to the North American rugby community.
